You can't tell a bloodline without reputable papers ... Don't forget people, papers are just that - paper. Honesty is what ensures quality of dog & accuracy of pedigree. JMHO. Blessings ... |

If you don't mind I would like to amend this to "you can't tell the bloodline without going to a reputable BREEDER." There are plenty of folks out there who bought from a disreputable breeder who have ADBA or UKC papers that aren't worth lining a bird cage with. On the flip side there are reputable breeders who can give you a handwritten ped that you could bet your house on. |

Wow, I was really hoping there would be pictures posted by now. Not to be mean, but your dog is going to end up with so many health problems its not even funny, I feel bad for the pup. A good looking lil/big guy |

I haven't seen the pics, but maybe he is an XL AmBully. If so, then yes he would be mixed But I don't see the pup having any more health issues than any other large breed. Maybe some joint problems as it gets older. That's all I would foresee. Large breeds live to about 10 -13 years old & most do well until they get around 8-10 y/o. It's the giant breeds who have a shorter life span (Danes, Mastiffs, etc.) & I doubt this dog will get that big. I personally had pitterstaff APBT pup years ago who weighed 30 lbs at 3 mos & gained 10 lbs a months every month until he was 8 mos old (i.e. 60 lbs @ 6 mos, 70 lbs @ 7 mos., etc.) He stopped growing when we stopped free feeding him high protein puppy food. Free feeding combined with the fact the pup was a HUGE glutton (when he got to be about 7 mos old he was eating 25lbs of dog food in 3 days! ) led to him being a larger than average dog. When we began controlled feeding he stopped growing & matured out at 83 lbs. Needless to say we do not free feed high protein puppy food any more. Anyway to get back on point, it's the pocket AmBullies that are the genetic nightmres & even the ones who aren't extreme can still be healthy for what they are.
Blessings ... |
