Default Pit Bull Ban
I live in Georgia and one of the counties here are getting ready to pass a total ban of pits in this county. People that already own them can keep them, but they have to register them, or face a 500.00 fine. Exactley what or how do you register them?

I think they mean register them with the county. If that is the case, probably go to the Court house and find out how.

Count your lucky stars that they allowed you to keep the ones that are already there! Stuff like this scares me, I never want it to happen where we live although I don't mind licensing them, we have to anyway (all dogs must be licensed with the county after the hit three months old) I just don't want the bans to hit that completely eliminate all pits even those who are already there.
Licensing is really easy to do and around her it's like 30 something for a lifetime license or 4-10 bucks a year depending on if the dogs altered and if you are able to get any discounts for either senior citizens or disabled people. Call a local shelter or ask around. Good Luck
