IF you HAD to say your dog was ONE breed, what would you say?

No made up names, only choose a real breed, what one breed does your dog most look like?

I know, I know... nobody can know for sure w/o papers, that's not the point of this thread, so don't even go there. This is just for fun.
But I got in a discussion with a guy at work over my dogs. So I was just curious that if someone HAD to say their mixed or unknown dog was a real breed what they would say it was.

Both of mine are rescues.
We consider Rosie an APBT


and Nick an American Bulldog

Well I have two rescues that I can honeslty say are so mixed up I have no clue what to call them!! So I just call them total mutts

Bird -APBT

Hazel - Am Staff

Aries - American Bulldog

Bells - APBT

Fletcher - Hound dog is what we call him

Everyone else comes from known lineage

Tess -APBT (which as far as we know that's what she is but she might be mixed)



Hawken -usually more APBT (Amstaff/APBT mix)


Magnus- APBT (Amstaff/APBT mix)



Locus- APBT (Amstaff/APBT mix)


Morgan- Amstaff (Amstaff/APBT mix)

I just call her a Terrier mix because we know she is mostly terrier of some sort

My girl is an Am Bully (well an APBT according to her papers but we all know how that works) I call her an Am Bully or just a Bully.

My boy is 50% English Setter and 50 % Pit. To look at him you cannot see E.S. so we do call him a pit mix.

Mischa would be either a 'coated' GSD or a Shiloh shepherd (we THINK she is GSD x Northern breed x collie as she LOOKS like a GSD, does the 'talking' like a northern,but has the coat of a rough collie)

Powder (rescue) I would say Apbt mix of what, I don't even know, maybe Dalmatian.




Achilles (craigslist) no telling, advertised as a Pit bull of course. But he reminds me of a Apbt x Dogo. I call him an Am bully, but he could pass for an American bulldog x Am Bully.

I just call Harley an AmStaff, Im always being asked "what kind of pit bull is that?" We just got him from the pound so I have no idea what would be the best thing to call him so I try to not use the term pit bull when refering to him.
