My 2nd dog that I will get probably in like 5 years lol lol wil be named Executioner more specifically, "VKHs The Purple Executioner" lol lol Call name will be X!
That's a good name. Whenever I get my GSD, which won't be for a long time, I'm naming him Thor.

When I was young we had two birds-Peckerhead and Numbnuts.

As for original names now...I guess Trooper but we didn't name him. His previous owner did, because right as she got him a friend of her's left to become a state trooper.

Resi, I've never met another dog named that. But I'm sure lots of people have used the idea-find a word you like and shorten it (Resilient)

Nothing real creative or unique here.

But here we go. Some of these dogs and cats have been mine and others belong to family and friends. These are just the most recent ones

Terrier mix - Sasha - At the time i thought I was being different but the name is kind of ironic. I read once that Sasha means Defender of men. Sasha however is more or a scaredy cat. I have loved the name Sasha for a long time and I thought I was being different but turns out its pretty popular. My husband thinks I named her after the actress Sasha Alexander from NCIS and even if I did I wouldn't admit to it now. She broke her contract to do a movie that was sure to flop.

2 black Labs - Romeo and Juliet

Beagle- Juliet # 2 (My little sister named her, shortly before they got her, Juliet # 1 got out one day when they were gone and was hit by a car. They still aren't sure how she got out)

Old English Sheepdog - Teela - husbands childhood dog. Named after the Masters of the Universe Character. Thank Goodness they got a female if they had got a male the dog would have been saddled with the name He-Man

Chow Chow - Moe- Not sure how he got the name

Schnauzer _ Michealangelo aka Michael - Named after the Ninja Turtle

Poodle - Zachary Trouble - (nicknamed Trouble) Name loosely means "God Remembers Your Trouble. How true that was. RIP little buddy.

Boxer - Q-tip - Solid white white with a brown patch over one ear. So she looked like a dirty Q-tip.

Poodle - Lady Godiva (She is a chocolate colored poodle belonging to parents)

Boxer - Nala - kids liked the lion king

Poodle/Maltese mix- Addie tude. She came with the name Addie, they think short for Addison after the doc on Greys. But she had a real attitude problem so she became "Addie-tude"

Yellow Labrador- Rascal - name Fit him to the T

Mutt - Milo - Named after Milo Ventimiglia who played Peter Petrelli on Heroes

Yellow Labrador -Lucy - I think she was named after the peanuts character

West Highland Terrier - Bear - we think he thought he was a bear he always walked on his hind legs and growled at things.

Grey Tabby - "Ollie" well actually his name was Oliver but we called him Ollie for short. He was named after the DC comic Hero Green Arrow aka Oliver Queen

Tortoiseshell cat - K.C. aka Kitty Cat (got the idea from D.C. That Darn Cat)

Gerbil - Nachos Bell Grande aka Nacho. He was a beautiful yellow color and my favorite meal at Taco Bell at the time was a Nachos Bell Grande. That was way back when Taco Bell was actually good.

Gerbil - Piper- I liked the show Charmed

Hamsters - Nic and Jo - Named after some friends of mine. Nic killed Jo. Nic died a few months later.

Rabbit - The Lone Ranger aka Ranger - He was a rabbit that was a baby and hurt and nearly drowned that my Grandfather was able to resusitate and nurse him back to health and set free. He stayed near the yard his whole life. He would even come up to us.

Orange Tabby -Simba - Belongs to my sis

Orange Tabby -Tony (aka Tony the Tiger) belonged to my bro.

Siamese Cat - Hiro Nakamura - self explanatory. Friend named him after the Heroes Character

I once met an autoshop AmBully named Satchi. I always liked the sound of it. Very "clean" and strong-sounding.

Haven't met another dog with the name Socrates yet
You should meet my cousin, his name is socrates and he is the dawg

A fitting name for a smart dog. I'm sure your dog is smart.

My puppy's name is Tigrex, because of his tiger color (brindle) and just hoping and assuming that he will have a crunchy bite like a t-rex. Well he is a repeat breeding of a proven litter which posses this qualities. Hope he lives up on his name!

Our pets are:

Peaches (my first apbt, stolen one day)

Jude (our new boy, still not home yet)
Sadie (wild tabby cat, found in the woods where we live)
JoJo (manx cat taken from a woman at walmart who had a tick/flea infested litter for free and we felt bad)
and soon to come, Mr. Kite (beta fish to replace my girlfriends fish that died)

we name our current pets after characters from "Across the Universe" my girlfriend is the hugest Beatles fan, and i love her...
Peaches was named from that song "millions of Peaches" by: the presidents of the united states of America
i was singing it to her when she was a puppy and she came right to me and followed me around the house

When I first heard Dee-ohh-gee a few years back I thought it was the most clever and unique dog name ever, lol. Since then I have met a few other dogs with that same name, so other people must have liked it too.

-Colette (torti calico) aka Cobie for short (NOT after Koby Bryant, I hate him, didnt even know who he was when I gave my cat that nickname almost 10 years ago)
- Elvira Mistress of the Dark (golden retreiver) aka Misty -My dad named her lol
-B (rabbit) my son couldnt say bunny when he was little so he called him B, and since he didnt have a name at the time we all started refering to him as B and it stuck. We tried giving him a real name but we all cant stop calling him B
- Cricket (tabby) MILs cat, he ate a cricket as soon as they got him home as a kitten
- Little Boogie or Baby Boogie (tabby) aka Boogie. MIL left the bag of cat food outside one day and Boogie (a local stray who decided not to leave) was skin and bones and was trying to get more food out of the bag after eating what he had been given. I was all that little booger when I saw him and my son said "little boogie!".. thankfully, because untill that point he was LS for Little Shit because though he was pratically starving he was a bossy little shit bossing Cricket (whos 15) around like he owned the place.

The rest of our animals are fairly common, Abigail aka Abbey (dalmatian), Blackjack (labxpit), Indy (labx, after the Indanapolis track/race), Nicky (shepx), Tiger (orange tabby), Mandy (orange tabby), Harley ("pit bull")

Sedna after : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedna_(mythology)

I am Canadian so I guess it's Canadian folklore/mythology. Though I am not Inuit myself.

My first dog was Sheaba (RIP)..... shelter, mix (Shepherd and something) I'd never heard that name before her, but have heard it a lot since then.

Then came Gizzmo Valentino-Shih Tzu mix, he looks like a gremlin when you when you put him on his back.

Next was Maxx (RIP)--shelter rescue, Shepherd/Chow something mix. He came pre-named.

Then Chuck (RIP) Chow-Chow, he came pre-named.

Next came Mollie (APBT mix?) my daughter named her.

Titus Savage- Lab/Husky mix, named after my son's character in the high school play "The Curious Savage", my son played Titus Savage.

Zoey--Lab (mix?), my daughter named her after she rescued her from the side of the road beside her dead mother.

Bella--APBT (mix?) shelter rescue, she came pre-named.

Cooper--APBT (mix?), my foster, I don't know where the name came from. That's what I started calling him, however, I find myself now calling him Tucker more than I do Cooper. Poor dog doesn't know what his name is.

and the cats....
Pokie-rescue... named that because he would sit in your lap and "poke" you when he was kneading your legs.

Cross-rescue Siamese, named that because he is cross eyed, but his name fits his personality perfectly.
