Default Going from one dog to two - advice?

I currently have a 2.5 year old boy (see header) whom I adore. He's sweet, super social, so mellow, and so the best.

I had been thinking about adding another to the mix, and recently stumbled on a little baby girl who had been left outside of petco in a box. I have NO idea of her background - and she's very young. She's in foster care now (and her foster mother says she's great), and I'm going to visit her on Friday to have the two dogs meet, but if all goes well, I'm afraid I'm sunk!

Any advice from those of you in the community who have successfully managed a multi-pit home?

Thanks!
