so theres a guy that has puppies for sale and idk if i will be gettin but my sister wants one too, but anywho, the dad is adba champion bloodline winegarner/razors edge, they have placed in adba sactioned dog shows, pups have been wormed once a week since they were 2 weeks old and had their shots and he has the vet paper work, pups are 8 weeks old.... but heres my conern, i was undr the impression razors edge was more am bully, not APBT which is what he said they are... anythin else i should be asking this guy

RE is more of an American Bully bloodline.

razors edge is ambully but they can be registered under apbt terrier since ambully isnt yet a recognized breed. not to mention the fact that razors edge got their am bully look by breeding outside of apbt so theyre basically all mutts. (thats the rumor anyway, look into if you will) also as far as the championship bloodlines go, you have to look at the pedigree and see how far back that champ was. its easy to find champion blood somewhere in most dogs when you have a 7 generation pedigree.

From my understanding, an American Bully is a breed still in development. The goal is to have a dog that looks like an APBT (in some ways) just quite bigger in size, and to move away from Dog aggression. It is being developed as a companion breed, more than anything else. "Purist" of the breed will only have an APBT x Amstaff mix, though, there are others in the breed that has added other breeds into the mix.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you feel this guy is on the up and up, and if you feel it would be the right dog for you.

i havent seen them in person but my sister has sent me a few pics... if the pup doesnt get papers can i still do any kind of shows? (if the dog would show potential?)

You can do fun shows without the papers, but if he has the papers, and you think you may want to show the dog, then get the papers.

If he doesn't have papers and showing is something you'd like to do, then I'd move onto a different breeder.

not for that price youll be getting ripped off,besides,i cant think of any RE dogs in the ADBA being champions.Add to that,anyone with a champion dog will not sell the pups for only 150.00 to john Q public.tHe person your dealing with is a BYB and just a fair warning do not buy a pup from that guy.If you want pit bull,go to a reputable breeder,hell for a starter dog hit up a shelter.but unless youve owned a pit bull before,i sya get another breed of dog

Yes, if you want a true show quality pup, then they probably wouldnt be sold for $150. To be honest, i cant think of ANY RE dogs around here being sold for less than at least $500...but they are byb's looking for nothing but money so idk...

Sounds like a BYB to me... I would suggest that you and your sister move on and find some one reputable or adopt from a shelter.

Yes I would adopt from a shelter. I got Trina for $105 and she was spayed and had all her shots. Can't go wrong there

well, i guess the guy went to bed for the night because he stopped textin my sister back, i just want a puppy but not gonna get myself excited so i had her talkin too him, but he prolly thinks shes crazy by all the things i had her askin him about the dogs!! but i think i will look into showing dogs a lil more and ask some questions from you all later and then start lookin for a dog!!
