Default PETA Compares Meat Eaters To Terrorist
The animal rights group PETA is certainly known for its shocking ads, aggressive tactics and bountiful photos of naked ladies touting vegetarianism, pet adoption and animal birth control, but one of the latest posts on its blog still manages to push the envelope.

Blogger Logan Scherer writes a post about howGhulam Rasool Khan, who was arrested in India with suspected links to al Qaeda and the Taliban, insists on eating large quantities of meat rather than the vegetarian food served in prison. Scherer makes a highly dubious equation comparing eating meat with violence against humans.

Behold: a visit from Captain Obvious. As if the world needed another example of the proven link between violence against animals and violence against humans, Ghulam Rasool Khan--a suspected al-Qaida member jailed in India--refuses to eat the vegetarian food served to him, instead demanding "two kg of mutton and one kg of chicken daily."

Khan has threatened to go on a hunger strike if he doesn't get his carcasses. But if PETA India's recent request that all jails serve only vegetarian meals is honored, then the bloodthirsty terrorist will be starving himself indefinitely.

The "proven link" Scherer is referring to is a PETA post about how serial killers often torture animals before "graduating" to humans.

Is PETA suggesting that simply eating meat is the same sociopathic behavior as torturing small animals? Is there really a seamless link between wanting to eat meat and being actively engaged in terrorism? Ironically, PETA itself was recently classified as a terrorist threat by the USDA. Let us know what you think.

LOL.

A terrorist organization compares eating meat to terrorism. Hmm? Are the PETAheads saying they enjoy fried chicken?

Indeed he was, and i'm probably more like hitler that the people at peta.
PETA sucks. They make vegans look stupid. I'm vegan, not stupid, hate peta. Didn't bother to read the thing, just had to chime in that not all vegans are like the people at peta.

I'm really insulted! I'm a member of PETA

People
Eating
Tasty
Animals

I love the whack jobs in my area that feed their cats and dogs Vegan diets!

My step sister is one of those crazies that says she won't eat anything with a face, I tell her my baloney has a first name.

All kidding aside, the ALF (Animal Liberation Front) are the ones to watch out for! They don't get naked for the cause, they kill people and blow things up!

I've read some pseudo-scientific 'studies' which show correlations between meat eating and aggression in general. If that's true SOMEBODY over there at peta & alf is eating meat.

WOW...this cracks me up.

The "proven link" Scherer is referring to is a PETA post about how serial killers often torture animals before "graduating" to humans Yea and from (in chronological order) Homo Erectus, Homo Heidlebergensis, Homo Neandertalensis, Homo Floresiensis, to Homo Sapiens (every modern or almost modern human from over 200 million years ago), meat eating has been a defining behavior, and I think it's pretty safe to say that as a genus humans are not crazy aggressive killers toward other humans. If hundreds of millions of years of proof is not enough, then we might as well just give up trying.

Now, I understand PETA's concern with the torture that does take place in some of the slaughter houses that produce our meat (I am concerned too), but how about trying to stop THAT, not something that is completely characteristic of humans. I can guarantee that if PETA banned people together to reform slaughter houses, they would make WAY more headway and have a LOT more supporters. Instead, they take the horrible conditions of a small percentage of slaughter houses and use it as a tool to try to get people to stop eating meat all together.

And how about this...there is an actual proven link between meat eating and brain size.

I tell her my baloney has a first name.

LOL. pretty funny... i started eating pork again when the pig named frankenfurter decided to try to eat me.
so... that christmas, my HAM had a name.

i only like PETA when they hire some hot celeb to get naked. that's entertainment.
they will say or do anything for a headline. it's like religious psychos
(like the people who drank the cool aid) they're brainwashed.

i slaughter my own chickens and butcher my own deer (i don't actually kill the deer, i'm better with a pistol, so i let the guys shoot them)
i think it validates my belief that it's ok to eat meat-getting my hands dirty and not being so far removed from the reality of it. plus i'm paranoid and i like to know where my food comes from.
and when vegetarians ask me "don't you know how those animals DIE?" i say "yep. i killed em and butchered em in my kitchen." that's always worth the look on their faces.
