Go with the CKC. They will register anything for the right price.
I wanted to say that but I read somewhere that they have been "cracking down", shrugs, who knows.

They probably just say that to overcome the bad PR. They are a joke and everyone knows it.

Actually, you MIGHT (not always) be able to get the dog registered, the UKC left the stud book open purposely. You would have to contact the National American Pit Bull Terrier Association, send pics of the dog stacked, send copies of health tests that have been PASSED, etc. You need to be responsible when it comes to breeding, which usually starts out by getting a registered dog for a REPUTABLE breeder. The chances are if the breeder does not have registered stock, the puppy is not quality. Do you know if the grandparents were registered dogs? Where the parents of your pup health tested? Keep all these things in mind! NEVER BREED WITHOUT HEALTH TESTING OR TEMPERAMENT TESTING! Do you have pics of your dog? Hope this helps!

Health test isn't just a vet check up. Check out the OFA site...

Good question! If you own the mother, also, where did you get her from or did you breed her?

The parents are not registered
Without papers on the parents, you can't get your pup papered. But like Zoe said, there are fun shows that you could check into. Best of luck, I'm sure you'd have a blast in the fun shows with him.

The ckc will let you, plus if you're in the southeast, i hear they do the majority of shows down there.

CKC will let you ONLY if you have the breeder's signature which I suspect he does not have.

I have papers on my APBT but never registered him. Is it important to register the dog and what does registering mean?

same here, I have the UKC stuff to send in for Daisy, but havent done it. You dont need to send them in unless you plan on showing the dog in conformation or just value having the papers.

Well, it also kind of helps if you want to do any other activities in UKC with your dog.. like agility, weightpull, obedience, rally-o, dock diving...
