Small senior + APBT
So I currently have a senior pomeranian who is the most submissive you can get and relatively inactive. How do you think this would work out adding a APBT to the mix? I really want a APBT from gamelines and think it could work out, seeing how submissive and antisocial my current dog is.

or pomeranian could end up a snack. I'd get the apbt as a very small puppy if you're going to do that. I don't know that I'd keep a grown apbt with a small dog like that. just me maybe.

Well i had just recently gotten an APBT puppy, and my GF lives with me and she has a Pekingese and although they play a lil rough, they do get along. Just get a pup young, I got mine a 6 weeks.

How is your dog with other dogs?
How long has yoiur dog been the only one in the house? Does your dog have a high tolerance for noise or disruption? This is your desision but if it was me I would do some meet and greets on neutral territory and see how your dog does. This way you will know how your dog will act and then your dog is part of the process and feels involved. Instead of bringing in a new animal unexpected. IMO |
Are there any health issues with your current dog?

If your Pom is old and anti- social it might be kinder to wait until it passes before adding a rough, rowdy, active puppy to the household.

I was thinking along the same lines as Genevieve http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/redface.png

I had my pup in the house with a chiuaua a datsun and a ratterrier mutt.
they did ok. the rat terrier cared none for his puppy antics. the datsun loved it! the chiuaua (i spell this wrong everytime) didn't care for it either. He was just too rough on them and they were old. it just made them mad |

thats why i try not to talk about those dogs.
I had to pick a dog whose breed I could spell. LOL |
Well, he's not really that old. He's 10, but for small dogs, it's not that old. He doesn't like to play with other dogs, as I rescued him a couple years ago, but it looks like he just grew up away from contact with other dogs. He doesn't get mad, but he just distances himself from noisy pups.
