Lol! Babe use to clear out a room on a regular basis, but rarely did we get any audible warning. Her farts have become far less frequent...thank goodness.

What cracks me up is when they look at their butt like "what the hell was that?!" One of our Dobies would always perk up his ears, cock his head and stare at his butt in total amazment (and his were often audible). You'd think after a while he'd put two and two together, but nope, every time he was amazed by it. It'd crack us up!

Boo was my first apbt blind at the age of 10. Yes I could sometimes hear his, left the room many times. I lmao one night when he expelled, kind of sniffed towards his rear, made a huinph-growl noise and walked away like it wasn't him. I think APBT are famous for this trait.

Lugz can certainly clear the room. And he usually smells his butt after he has done it; like "did that smell come from here."

What people here won't tell you is...the true test of a dog's gameness is how quickly he can knock you out with noxious gas!

Around here, my husband seems to be the biggest olfactory threat (Heaven help me, I hope he never reads this).

The dogs are - blissfully - not so gassy.

On the rare occasion that Madeleine has 'poofed', she startles herself and jumps up, sniffs and runs from the offending incident.

Mollie's pfffttttssss are getting louder! Usually when she is sitting down, we will hear it... I hear it the most often, and I'm half deaf!! You can ALWAYS smell them, and yes, sometimes she looks at her butt like "what was THAT??" The worse ones are the ones she lets go when she's UNDER the covers in bed..... man, you can't fan those jokers away!!! lol

My boys do it. A lot of the time you can hear them. If yu don't hear it, you can tell which one did it, cause the one that didn't will smell the others butt and look at him like "Was that you?". Otis has caught on that when he farts, we laugh. So now when he does, you know it cause he starts wagging his tail and doing a 'happy dance' waiting for us to laugh at him.

When my Akita/P.B was alive....she used to do that too.....
My husband would say "Kita !! You're dying from the inside out !!!"

Thinking back now...I think it was the food she ate.....
My 3 I have now rarely pass gas, I'm much more educated on the food I feed.

My dog is the same way I think he could literally kill small animals with the way his farts smell. The funny thing is he'll fart and when it makes a noise he looks up with a surprised look on his face like he's wondering what it was.

This is sooooo funny! Loki has super loud and deadly ones too. But he acts like nothing happened hoping someone else will get the blame. Yesterday, I had to open all the windows in the living room because he was choking us out...as he slept oh so peacefully never noticing the rotten stench he was letting off.
