Unknown spider?
 
Sorry for the poor image but it was the best we could do.

I think it's some kind of spider as it exuded a web-like thread.
Would some knowledgeable person please enlighten me.

This is another good Australian spider site: Arachne.org.au

This site is a working draft for A field guide to Spiders of Australia by Robert Whyte and Dr Greg Anderson due to be published in 2014.

Thanks people, that's the little fella for sure.
I like the findaspider site. It's a bit confusing though as it is based around SE Qld & I live in FNQ about 1800km North.

BTW The kookas are still doing their snail opening thing here.
Almost every rock of a certain size & shape has its quota of snail shells.
