Default I got a new job...
I was sitting at a long stoplight yesterday, minding my own business, patiently waiting for it to turn green even though there was no on-coming traffic. A carload of scruffy-bearded, young men shouting Anti-American slogans with a half-burned American Flag duct-taped on the trunk of their car and a "Remember 9-11" slogan spray painted on the side was stopped next to me.

Suddenly they yelled, "Allah Akbar! Praise Allah! Death to America" and took off before the light changed.

Out of nowhere an 18-wheeler came speeding through the intersection and ran directly over their car, crushing it completely and killing everyone in it.

For several minutes I sat in my car thinking to myself, "Man... that coulda been me!"

So today, bright and early, I went out and got a job as a truck driver.

At first, I thought it was an excerpt from some work by Chuck Palahniuk, but it turned out that it wasn't. The best thing I've read in a few weeks until I picked up a book. You know, you write really interesting. Maybe you'll become a modern Salinger. Congratulations on your new job, lol. A little off-topic, but I'm also looking for a job. I am also considering the option of becoming a trucker. They pay a lot; the work is quiet. A friend advised me to read an article about the list of soft skills to be more confident in myself at the interview, but it seems to me that this is unnecessary.

Congratulations on your job! I wish you good luck and hope your goals will come true. I had a similar experience and felt the same as you. Since childhood, my dream has been to evolve a specialist in HVAC. My dad, who was working in this industry, was an example for me. So now, when I am 25, I want to attend a school that I found on https://www.hvacschools411.com/school-cost/, and I don't regret it. After graduating, I obtained a certificate in HVAC and found a job quickly. I already have 2 months since I started to work, and I feel accomplished.
