Yeah....I caught bits of it here in Venezuela. I love Manny.

I don't care for Manny as a person but I must say that I am completely in awe of him when he steps up to the plate. He is like a hitting savant. He is a bat swinging fool. He is the best "pure" hitter in the game.

to coin Tina Turner, the DR baseball players are "simply the best", as in the 1st inning with the help of a leadoff double by Japanese player Ishiro, followed by a triple by Ivan Rodrigues, then a double by Vladimir Guerrero, an error and a 3 run blast by Manny Ramirez, a single and two run homerun by Alfonso Soriano, they lace National League starter Roger Clemens for 6 runs.

Some solace is gained in bottom of the 1st when Dominican players Albert Pujols doubles and scored single by Sami Sosa for the National Leagues run.

No - not crazy - just so much fun! I am a Red Sox fans and one of my favorite parts of watching the games is watching Pedro, Manny and David in the dugout - I love how they interact.. They make me smile! Now that they have interested me in Dominican players, I am checking out all the rest - my favorite so far is Vladimir - he's cool, and SO talented..
