No kidding, and you will end up in that casket, if you do! I hope smokers see that it isn't just hurting them when they smoke, we hate seeing them cough and get sick and worse yet, end up like my awesome, but stubborn aunt Bertha!

Nope will take more than the casket to get me to stop although I'm really open to useful and realistic suggestions and I don't chew gum. Next.............

I really like that casket ashtray. it's portable so u always have an ashtray, which are not readily available in public anymore.. yep, would make a really nice present . heheh hint hint..

not so u'd notice, but i'm finally back!.. the graphics card on this pos crashed bigtime and i couldn't install anything or do anything, the pos would blip and flip and crash constantly.. finally able to buy a new card this month and things are more or less working on it again. back on dialup, so sorry u have to read this so slowly.. lol

I smoked for 12 years, got sick of it, stopped in '95...then used chewing tobacco (disgusting s*, btw) until 'November '98. I stopped cold turkey then, haven't had any tobacco since. It sucked for the first few weeks, but gradually got easier. It's just a matter of willpower. When the cravings come you have to put it out of your mind. It may just be that it's easier for some people to quit than others. If so I'm one of the lucky ones.

Seems for some reason men quit easier than women do. Most men I know said they quit cold turkey. My dad did after over 50 years of smoking. I just haven't enough will power.

Yep, the best way to stop smoking is not to put cigarettes in your mouth and light them. If you want a psychological approach, don't think in terms of "quitting" or "giving up", but rather in terms of reclaiming your lungs and health. If you think you're "giving up" something, that makes it seem like a sacrifice, which it isn't. Less "stopping smoking" and more "starting breathing" is the way to do it.

Yeah Dippy has a good point. If you think of quitting then your mind will keep thinking of ciggarettes too.

But yeah men must quit easier. Jesse smoked when i met him and quit cold turkey.
