You should not have to know spanish in order to get a job in America, you should be able to understand english and speak english as your primary language in this country. If you go into a grocery store you shouldn't have to listen to cashiers rattle on in some foreign language to another crustomer just to make them happy. Since you are a customer, you should be happy too.

I'm ashamed that Americans can't get jobs because they don't know second languages.

Personally I think Americans should speak English with an English accent. Teehee. People couldnt understand ME there, and we spoke the same langauge! It was incredibly embarrassing. I was speaking to a walmart cashier and she stared at me then said "I'm sorry, I cant understand you". I almost died.

I can understand brits just fine! I have family in Australia AND in germany, they speak American, with a twist

This forum is for making up a law and then setting punishments if you break it so gonna move this over to the EE forum as it's up for discussion.

I certainly agree with it though and now they are making the kids learn Spanish before they can graduate. That is bull in my opinion.

It sure is...it's bull that i have to find the english section of a piece of paper just to sign a school paper. It really ticks me off. Not to mention PTA really ticks me off having to wait for the spanish translater to tell all the spanish mothers what is going on with the school in spanish. No white moms even go anymore because the spanish lady takes so long to explain everything to the non english speakers. So dumb
