The MOST important thing for Obama is NOT to expect more from him "just" because he is African-American. This is the time to unite behind our President and SUPPORT for the best possible outcome. As a REPUBLICAN today I was proud of our nation. This is a moment of promise and we all need to embrace it.

Ditto to the two posts above me....I think we can all agree, no matter our party affiliation, that today was an extremely historic event and that now is the time to support our new President as he begins his term. If you disagree or don't like him....wait for his policies or actions as president to become clear, but don't judge based on the campaign. It's a completely different ballgame from here on in.

I realize I'm not American but....
I honestly believe we have a President here that will make a HUGE turnaround for America. Maybe it's just my gut talking... but with work, and with economy, and with infrastructure, I honestly think he'll do a full 360 on us. Not to mention that I think that within the next 2 years, we'll have positive ties to nations that we had once sworn never to relate with. |
