The calamities of the so called Dawat e Islami and the daft primitive instincts of its Cheif Ilyas Qadri warrant a crude and direct criticism as its very hard to formulate a soft critique for the bizarre activities of these guys. The so called Dawat e Islami is may be the first effort in the history to rationalize the mythologies and deviations of Raza khan.

Except for the people who are born in Barelvi families , i am unaware of any notable figure who has converted to this cult for its one of the most irrational accumulation of all the historical innovations. Coupled by the bad manners of Raza khan Sahib , it has never made any sense to the sensible people so Barelivism has always remained a cult of by birth ignorants. It has survived under the cultural influences as a majority of the people prefer a religion which provides them a culturally fitting interpretation. May be it was hard for the population which had so long lived with the Hindu culture to give up the cultural influences of Hindus so they sought out a middle way , Barelvism. The temples of Hindus were replaced by shrines , the parshaad by Niyaaz , the Pandats by Qadris and so on. Raza khan came up with such a good replacement blend that it was just like nut into the bolt.

It was may be late in 1980s that this guy Ilyas Qadri came out of the blanket under the influence of the success of Tablighi Jamaa't. Ever since , he has been trying to rationalize the one which can not be.The main idea was to make a Barelvi version of Tablighi Jamaa't and go to the masses and call them to Barelvism. He decided to uncover the pearls of Raza khan and present them to the common public and so much was he enthusiastic about it that he opened a TV channel for it. He formulated a new vocabulary as well , like guys involved in Dawat e Islami call each other Madina (seriously ,they call each other Madina.It used to be "Madani bhai" before) , the kids taking part in the TV shows are called Madani Munnay. Ilyas Qadri , the cheif , soon became a head priest and now he is being called "Baapa" (dady). Ever since the daddy has left no stone unturned to provide amusement to his sons. He has been kind enough to ridicule himself live on TV to the extremes to make the distant sons happy as well.

However , the uncovering of the pearls of Raza khan made a negative reaction. What Ilyas was trying to make palatable started stinking soon. Of-course Raza khan had left no pearls at all and what Ilyas Qadri thought to be pearls whose odor will attract people towards his cult was something else. Vidoes from Dawat e Ismai's channels are being uploaded at Youtube now. They get alot of viewers and the "daddy" has become a comedy for all. I happened to watch a few yesterday.
