Default The changing taste of Zam Zam

I have recently returned from Umrah and ziyarah of Madinah Munawwarah and I noticed that Zam Zam does not taste like Zam Zam. When I last visited Makkah Mukarramah and Madinatun Nabi , the taste was what I had come to expect of Zam Zam, having lived in Saudi Arabia for over a decade and visiting the haramain shareefain numerous times.

But now, it just tastes like tap water...

It is as if Zam Zam is being diluted or being "purified" before it is supplied to the Muslims...or did the Saudi government only do this during the Hajj season?
