Default Should I get my wisdom tooth removed?
Assalam u alikum wr wb

I know its a strange question but i wanted to know if it had any consequences on memory or intelligence. I heard some Hakeems forbid removing teeth as they weaken the eye and brain. Similar things have been said by Ulama about certain foods etc. I would be curious to know if there is something related to this. Wisdom tooth is the last one in the molar line right at the back..

Removing teeth, if done properly, will not have any effect on your brain or eyes. It can be, however, very painful. I personally have some impacted wisdom teeth, but have not had them removed yet, since they don't cause me any pain. Dentists usually recommend removing them because there's a chance they could become infected.

this made my day

the wisdom teeth are wisdom teeth as they fully grown in later age when person is supposed to be more wise...
BTW even small damage can make bad consequences - latent inflamations, blood poisoned from that - whole body can suffer...

It is no damage if person takes it out - up to my experience it is better.

lol really ? Well I had one removed and it didn't make me stupid lol....

I never thought that removing the wisdom tooth would cause problems to your intellect,it's just a myth.

Most people who've worn braces usually need to remove their wisdom tooth as it may cause the teeth to shift out of place if not removed.

Well, think about it like this, how much difference would it make?

The pro to getting teeth pulled is that if you put the tooth under your pillow at night and sleep on it the tooth fairy will leave a dollar bill in exchange for the tooth. Factoring in the rate of inflation, I think you can get almost $100/tooth in todays market!

Salam, I have had all 4 removed and I am not stupid. Get them removed because when they erupt they will hurt. But getting them removed is horribly painful. Painkillers and soft food help.
