Default iPhone or Android
Thanks to my long distance relationship, I have to be kinda hood rich and stay with a smart phone
I have a Blackberry, but I hate it.

So, smart people of OTz,

Should I get an iPhone or Android?

Is it true iPhones don't have flash? That is one of the reasons I hate my Blackberry...

I have and Android...I like it, I guess. I'm not to techy....just wanted to throw my 2 cents worth in.

I think it's all a matter of what you're use to.

Thanks
I'm leaning towards a Droid, I mean, I don't have a Mac computer, idk...I don't have a lot of time to play around on the phone or play games, I'm fully booked, but I would like to have music to work out to.

Slacker on BB sucks

I love my Droid....

I have an HTC Desire.. and the guy at the phone company talked me out of an iPhone....

And my phone has a flash... hell most of the pics I have posted lately come off my phone.

I was shocked with how nice the pics are with my droid...I have to say that. But I don't really do much else with it.

I had a blackberry for a couple of years. I hated the web features and the screen was always too small to read.

Had a Droid X now for the last year now, and absolutely love it. GREAT for storing data (excel spread sheets / PDF files) in folders that you can quickly access and read. I can get a call from someone looking for information, put them on speaker and access my files on the phone for the information they're looking for. Kind of ended up doing away with my laptop on the road because of that phone.

Recently just bought an iMac desk top, and thinking the iphone wouldn't be bad as well. I'm guessing the iphone would be better for music, but I don't use my Droid for that at all so I don't know what it can or can't do. I do know numerous people who have an iphone, and I have heard nothing but good things about them.

I have a Droid. Still learning a lot. I miss the simplicity of the old standard phone a lot of times.

I still don't know how to change ring tones for different callers. Sigh

Go to your settings (usually can be found in the ap section if you haven't moved it). Look down the list (usually the third one down) and click onto "sound". After you click onto "sound" click onto "ringtone" (incoming calls). You can also set different sounds to different numbers that call in. I ALWAYS know when my wife is calling LOL

Not sure what to say.. I just got the Blackberry 9810 and love it..

I don't get Joe's statement about making folders. I have made folders on my Blackberry since I got my 8300 Curve on the memory card. I stored all my data on there I have ever wanted and could share it via BBM and email any time..

That being said a Cell Phone is something you need to pick out for the options you will use. Don't let the salesman tell YOU what you want.

I never get mine on a plan and always buy it outright so I am not locked into a term.. Not sure if that's an option for you or not..

There are some pay as you go no contract companies but apparently the service is horrible. The US seems to have much more costly cell phone service, my boyfriend got a cheap deal in Ontario

The folders didn't do me any good if I can't read it on the phone LOL

The first time when I saw someone enlarge the screen (on the phone) so you could read it (on a Droid) I knew I wanted that phone.

Yes I heard, but its not always been that way.. My deal is pretty good as far as calls go but my data sucks.. But as I said I buy out the phone outright and it might be an option to have him look into it for you.

Rogers = AT&T and T-Mobile
Telus and Bell = Verizon and Sprint

There are a few start ups called Wind Mobile, and Mobilicity that own their own networks and may have bands you can use an unlocked phone on as well.. They run on GSM ( AT&T / T-Mobile ) networks.

Edit: All have gone to 4G networks..

When I got my 8300 Curve there was no Touch Screen so pinch was not an option and Nokia was the leader in cells.. So you are not comparing an apple to an apple.. But I could use speakerphone on that device and have folders. HA HA HA

I can certainly do that with my 9810 Torch 2 and the browser is fully cable of holding its own.

I looked at Samsung Galaxy and HTC and did not like the form factor and fact it was not true push email.. Just like Apple it is really a Draw ( pull email ) more than push email system to act like push. My battery life with all my apps last a minimum 2 days with talk time.. That beats all Andriods and certainly Apples iPhone IMO..

I love my iPhone.

I had a DROID (1st gen) and it was a POS. I've heard they are much better now, and Google is awesome.
