I wouldn't have this thing, except that I won it in a promotion at an eatin' joint we frequent. I use it like a laptop, don't play games, just surf the net, etc.

This past weekend I found out that it doesn't pick up WiFi signal as well as my wife's laptop. We stayed in a motel. She used the laptop a lot, but I couldn't pick up the signal with the iPad.

I have an iPad (the first version). Yesterday, I found that my usual method of getting out of a website won't work. I minimize the window, then touch the X. Won't minimize anymore, no X. Yesterday, somehow, regular websites, such as OTz, and all others, have a darkened look to them. I can't navigate or do anything.
Can anybody help me out?

I tried something. Since the battery can't be pulled to reboot it, I left it on until the battery died. Recharged and it seems to be working just fine!
