Windows 7 product key

It is really good and I love it but he skipped the activation product key bit. Now I keep getting pop ups saying you have 23 days left remaining to get the key http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/mad.gif without the key I won't have windows no more and no access to the computer. Does anyone know where I can get a product key from? I have googled and tried loads of key numbers but they are not working.

Microsoft will sell you one?

I once had Microsoft give me a product key over the phone after I gave them information about where I brought the product.

Only problem, they gave me a product key that only lasted for six months.

I was told to just install linux but not sure what that is like.
