Default trouble shooting
So I posted earlier about trying to install windows 7 and got some great ideas to try.. I want to take it in to be looked at but my car and phone broke and had to do that first since I still have my work laptop to use.. anyway..

So far I have replaced the harddrive.. ( mine said failure imminent and wont load anymore)

replaced DVD drive .. still unable to load windows....

removed 3 sticks of ram and tried one stick in different slots..

and also unplugged the extra stuff i didnt need at that time.. like the usb ports and card readers from the motherboard..

still having no success..

I even tried using different /newer wires to see if that could be the issue.. any other ideas ???
when I called microsoft and tried to reformat the hard drive before installiation i got an error saying unable to do so and they said it was a hardware issue and needed to go to a tech person... tried again without them and i got a different error message saying that i was missing a cd/dvd driver that was required to install..

Its like my computer is only reading my hard drive or dvd drives sometimes and others it doesnt recognize them.. ok thanks for any help you can give..
