Not an Obama supporter at all! However, I don't see an issue with what she said. People are "knuckleheads" for not voting. I didn't take it as she was attacking anyone.

Any black person who would vote Republican or not vote is a knucklehead. There I said it. This is a very important election for civil rights and the middle class. Not a huge Obama fan, but if Romney wins we can kiss all that goodbye.

In the interview, the First Lady said (paraphrased) that if you have someone sitting around the house who doesn't want to get out and vote, you need to tell that "knucklehead" to get off their butt and do it. As I said, don't like Obama, but anyone complaining about this statement is being ridiculous.

I call my students knuckleheads. She used it in reference to all Americans that dont vote. Who cares. I'm not voting for Obama, but I dont take offense to what she said.

I will admit, the Obama campaign probably would see benefit from getting people who are too lazy to inform themselves and too apathetic to show up at the voting booths being shoved into the polls against their will!

I wouldn't go that far (Ron Paul on the other hand apparently has no problem with government enforced segregation, he's said it himself) - but much of the legislation that protects the middle class and small business owners would probably immediately come under attack, along with medicare/aid, social security, protections for the disabled... and of course racial minorities and women.

But don't worry. Republicans MIGHT have the upper hand in the short term, but long term, their days are numbered. The "angry white Christian male" happens to be holding a majority in this country at the moment, but they're aging quick. No matter how hard Republicans try to fight minority voting and immigration, angry white christians will eventually become a minority in this country - perhaps in the near future - 20 years or less.

1) I know I've asked many people, including you, to provide some data that voter fraud is actually a problem. Still waiting for a response.

2) Your ancestors would not be able to come to America legally under today's laws.

3) Most of the Republican hysteria over illegal immigration is tied to the "white genocide" nonsense.

She spoke nothing but truth, so there's nothing to be offended over. I personally find it nearly criminally negligent for anyone who is eligible to vote to not do so. It is one of the only things you are truly expected to do, and there are a million ways to get it done!

...All of this goes double for my fellow servicemembers. How many professions out there can honestly say that every last person in the organization can have some say as to who their boss is going to be every four years? There are so many assistance programs that it is almost harder NOT to vote than it is to do so.
