Default Two bouncers killed in brawl
Monday, Aug 27, 2012
KUALA LUMPUR - Two bouncers were shot dead during a brawl outside an entertainment club along Jalan Dooraisamy here.

In the 4.30am incident yesterday, Mohd Akmal Gemain and Mohd Nor Firdaus Rashid, both 21, barred six men from entering the nightclub as it was closing for the day.

However, the men insisted on entering the club, resulting in a fistfight with the bouncers.

During the brawl, one of the men took out a pistol and fired at the two bouncers, hitting one of them in the head and the other in the chest.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Zainuddin Ahmad said a bouncer died on the spot while the other died after being rushed to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).

It is learnt that two bystanders were also hurt on their arms following the shooting and are receiving treatment at HKL.

"We are on the lookout for the six men, including the shooter, who fled the scene," he said yesterday.

He added that police were still investigating the events leading up to the shooting and the motive behind it.

"Anyone with information should contact the nearest police station," he said.
