Any ideas how he'll be executed? CNN said officials are tight lipped. I am guessing he'll be hung. Beheading is another possibility.
I think death is too kind for Hussein.

You know, I wouldn't put it past Bush to think of removing Saddam's head and mounting it in the Oval Office ... thats exactly the sort of idiot he is. Not so sure about consuming the flesh, but I agree with the sentiments behind your remark.
Just another smelly, savage Muslim being sent to HELL, only this one KILLED and TORTURED thousands of others!

I suspect that Mr Bush will like most if us, laugh his ass off at the demise of sub-spieces who will be spittin, waving his arms, and other unpleasenties, swings in the air!http://www.uspoliticsonline.net/images/smilies/lol.gif....................YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Hurling insults doesn't change the fact that you aren't winning any wars. But of course, your head is stuck too deep in the sand ... http://www.uspoliticsonline.net/images/smilies/lol.gif
And you don't think your post is insulting????

The deed isn't done yet, but let me say the following.

1. If this isn't at the US bidding, how is it that it has gone thus far and he is still in US custody? However:

2. I'm not at all sure that the Iraqis would freely choose to carry it out And it aint over til......"

3. If carried out, it will be done for punishment rather than to keep more from happening. and I happen to be opposed to the death penalty as a punishment

4. I am for the death penalty in some circumstances, but only as a public protection, and under as humane a way as possible. Hanging is barbaric.

Fox News is reporting sources saying saddam will be executed by morning.
The U.S. military has already began the transition.
Reportedly the only reason he was not executed last night was security concerns by the U.S.

Apparently the Iraqi government will execute Saddam within 48-72 hours, which is right before the Eid holiday in the Islamic religion. Saddam sensed the execution was imminent when the radio in his cell was removed, and he has met with two half-brothers to pass on his final letters, etc.

Thanks for the update O'Sullivan.

I don't know why but I read that and got this horrible sense of foreboding. Not about Saddam, but about repercussions. I hope my intuition is messed up.
