black people will try to put on a "white" accent when its convinient or when its called for (i.e. at a job interview or getting pulled over, or generally being around alot of white people they need to impress) but when around other africans or when riled up enough they all revert back to their broken english called ebonics. they cannot help it, it is engrained in them from birth, much like the white mans inherent love for cargo pants and asian hookers. and mayonaise. honkies love them some miracle whip. they put that shit on everything.
don't believe me when i say all black people eventually revert back to ghetto bastardism should refer to this video trust me im a doctor, i have a doctorate in everything related to black people. i am the worlds leading expert on blackness, and because im white you know you can count on me to be right 100% of the time in regards to these issues. |

![]() I pronounce my words correctly, but I haven't paid attention to my accent. I'm from Pennsylvania, so you all who know Pennsylvanians can tell me how we sound. Someone once told me we have Northern country accents, but I can't tell. ---------- Post added 2012-04-21 at 23:25 ---------- Also suburban Aframs who grow up around 90% white people tend to also sound like whites. ![]() |

This thread reminds me of an encounter I had during my freshman year of college when a classmate confronted me about speaking "white";
Woman = W; Me = Me. W: Dude, you speak white. Me: Really? W: Yeah. M: Hm. I don't speak German. I don't speak French. W: o_O I mean you speak like a white person in America. M: You mean *speaks with a stereotypical southern accent*, like the 'Deep South' or *changed with a stereotypical Valley accent*, like, Oh, my, Gawd. W: You know what I mean. M: I'm sorry, I don't. W: W/e *walks away* |

I can tell the difference in Southern accents by region in many cases. East and West Tennessee sound different. North and South Mississippi sound different. East Arkansas in the delta region has a different accent than central Arkansas. People from Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, east Texas all have a "southern" accent but each one sounds different.

NY Aframs speak like New Yorkers. black people will try to put on a "white" accent when its convinient or when its called for (i.e. at a job interview or getting pulled over, or generally being around alot of white people they need to impress) but when around other africans or when riled up enough they all revert back to their broken english called ebonics. they cannot help it, it is engrained in them from birth, much like the white mans inherent love for cargo pants and asian hookers. and mayonaise. honkies love them some miracle whip. they put that shit on everything. Southern and West Coast Afram accents are different from each other, also different from NYC accent. Also suburban Aframs who grow up around 90% white people tend to also sound like whites. For example: http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/video...2k34l3M2BQizhy Without this individual stating he's from Cali, I would have just assumed he was a Afram from the south. Yes, by pretty much everyone who thinks they "know" what "real black people" should sound like. |

How similar are Ebonics and Southern accents??? |
