I pronounce my words correctly, but I haven't paid attention to my accent. I'm from Pennsylvania, so you all who know Pennsylvanians can tell me how we sound. Someone once told me we have Northern country accents, but I can't tell.

This thread reminds me of an encounter I had during my freshman year of college when a classmate confronted me about speaking "white";

Woman = W; Me = Me.

I can tell the difference in Southern accents by region in many cases. East and West Tennessee sound different. North and South Mississippi sound different. East Arkansas in the delta region has a different accent than central Arkansas. People from Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, east Texas all have a "southern" accent but each one sounds different.
