![]() ![]() ![]() Jermey Clarkson Young ![]() I can't Imagine Why else Europeans would have nappy hair without SSA Admixture maybe it could be an ancient trait from North Africa? I'm unclear with the fact. I'll like someone to address this subject or at least correct me If i'm wrong. Africans and Australoids have curly hair due to the strong sunrays that may boil the brain (causing brain damage or form tumours) thus the dense curly afro prevents that from happening. Not many Africans have straight hair and Why would they need it if there enviroment is more suited for curly hair...Sorry for all this shite but I'm curious cause I met a guy today who had a bigger afro than me not mention it was more nappy...I'm like "WTF!"...can't be serious! |

I haven't seen this old chestnut for years, back in Dodona days threads about this were a frequent occurrence and it's conceivable that European littorals might have received some curliness from further south, but someone, I think it might have been Aino, posted a picture of a Finn with a platinum blond 'fro. So I think it's independently euro. I had a brown 'fro before male pattern baldness set in and have one son with a black 'fro and one with a dirty blond 'fro - they have a friend with a ginger 'fro whose picture was posted in the thread about pale Irishwomen.

My father is southern/central Italian with typical looking loose curly hair. My mother is Dutch and mixed northern European with straight/frizzy hair.
My hair turned out unusually thick, wavy, coarse, and frizzy. It's unlike either of my parents' hair. I don't think it's from SSA admixture though. I've seen family pictures dating back to the 1800's and no one has afro hair or any visible SSA admixture. Even if I were to make a liberal estimate and say my Italian father has 4% SSA, that would only make me 2%. I don't think 2% SSA is enough to create a full blown afro, yet I have one. So I think it can happen in Europeans. ---------- Post added 2012-02-21 at 22:11 ---------- ![]() My hair is like a frizzier, more coarse version of this. |
