Anthropology research are being done all over the world today compared to before. What are some researches being done in your country today? Are they doing research on culture, archaeology, genetics, sociology, biology, psychology, etc?

Geneticist are especially interested in how we traveled from islands to islands. 2)Philippines has a lot of different groups of people that have their own culture and language. Cultural Anthropologist are fascinated with the diversity of our people. 3) Philippines' 7,100 islands was brought up by platectonics, volcanoes, or separating itself from a contintent. Geologist are here to find out where the islands came from and classify them. 4)Preserving our rare dialects. Philippines has well over 170 different dialects. The linguist are documenting as much informations as they can. There are also Spanish Creole languages in Philippines which are small in population also. 5)Archaeological research on Ancient Engineering Structures and people. We only know the famous Banaue Rice Terrace and a few others. Archaelogist have already discovered ancient Tabon man at 47,000yrs ago and Callao man at 68,000yrs ago. Archaeologist wants to know how long has Philippines has been occupied by these ancient people. http://www.physorg.com/news200028897.html Archaeologist have an interest in finding a Dinosaur bone, so far none has been discovered. 6)Philippines has a lot of different rare species. We have the largest eagles and bats in the world and the smallest fish. Biologist are interested in finding more new large species as well as plants that may be usefull in medicine. |

I found some pictures of the Phillipines durring the last ice age (12K YBP), lot less islands back then. Looks like most of it could be reached via dry land.
