I would like to ask gypsies but i dont know of any gypsy forum so i ask the next similar to gypsies (indians), YOU!

Do you consider White-Indian to be Indian? Do you consider Yellow-Indian to be Indian? Do you consider Black-Indian to be Indian? Is it all the same or is there a difference if somebody is mixed white-indian or mixed-black indian.

My opinion is that mixed white-indian can be considered indian but not black-indian mixed. I think there can be white gypsies or white indians but not black indians or black gypsies. Im 9/16 gypsy and rest balkanic/white/slavic. What do you think of me am i a proper gypsy or racially indian?

My fam. You see there are indian looking ppl (racially indians) and white looking ppl. My dad is 1/4 gypsy (the white looking guy with the black hair) and the other white guy (brunette) is the husband of my mums sister.

I am not indian but ive been to India and people there are very dark no matter there race. And to be honest I think they judge everything on light color. I have light skin and in their eyes if you have white skin then you are just foreign.

Well if you go to India you will feel white at least if you go where I went in Goa. You will probably be viewed as rich just because of your skin. It is just part of the culture there from ancient times.

There is no correlation between Haplogroup and Race. A negroe can be R1b, a Indian can be E-V13. Im 13% Southasian on Dienekes a little more than half of the two Romanian Samples with 25% who Dienekes believes to be Gypsies. I think so too because im 9/16 Gypsy and have the half of them so they must be pure Gypsies. Jatts have around 30% Southasian. I read a post of Dienekes that he discovered a new CSA component (Western Asian+European) which he think corresponds to ANI (Ancestral Northindian) so i wrote him a Email if he can tell me how much of that i am. Im around 20% Western Asian which is probably from my indian side too. You see im more than half Indian.

I think the haplogroups can tell you alot about ancestry actually. The concept of race is just a way to tell some specific physical features nothing else. What really matters is DNA ancestry. If you got a cultural connection to India in some way then you can call yourself indian or whatever. Do you speak hindi, bengali, tamil or any other indian language?

In terms of area and population Goa is the smallest state of India also it comprises of mainly african races so it shouldn't be assumed as representative state of India.Even Mumbai which is a City is greater then Goa in area and population Goa has just 1.4 million population wheareas Mumbai has 14 Million people.

As far as InquiringMind question is concern i would humbly advise him to learn more about Indian culture and caste system before issueing such threads. there is no particular way to recognize Indianness mangoloids of north eastern states are as much as Indians as caucasians of northern states and negroids of andmaan and nicobar island.

You must be in the southern part, in the Northern part many are fair skinned.
