Should make an interesting movie. That name, 'Django', I wonder from which African group it came from?

Inglorious Basterds was like Pulp Fiction meets Shindler's List...So this'll be what Shaft meets Amistad?. I'll see it for sure. Tarantino's always a treat...

Though I was not satisfied with IB, I will still watch this. Tarantino always has had a fascination for the cowboy era (S.Leone); so this should be nice. Plus Jamie Foxx is kewl. I really do not like Caprio, and hope his screen time is minimal. Nice thread.

Django was the name of another spaghetti western classic by Roman/Italian director Sergio Corbucci, the character was played by Franco Nero, I don't know about the name though.

This new one looks like it's going to be awesome, great cast.

I like movies where the brotha gets the man in the end, that's why I liked John Shaft.

sounds like an awesome movie...idk how i feel about jamie foxx playing a role like that, he's more of a funny man in my eyes. but he did play in that movie collateral or whatever.

i wonder if tarantino will make a suprise appearance in this movie like he does all his others lol. either way, tarantino is a dope director.

It's a great concept but Tarantino is a caricature of himself now. He made two great films Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. The rest is garbage.

lol. wtf? It's a Romani (Gypsy) word. You never heard of the musician Django Reinhardt? You need to expand your cultural world, dude. The guy is considered one of the greatest guitar players to have lived.

Jean "Django" Reinhardt[2] was born 23 January 1910 in Liberchies, Pont-Ã*-Celles, Belgium, into a family of Manouche gypsies. Reinhardt's nickname "Django" is Romani for "I awake."[3] Reinhardt spent most of his youth in Romani (Gypsy) encampments close to Paris, playing banjo, guitar and violin from an early age. His family made cane furniture for a living, but included several keen amateur musicians.[4]
