Default Inside info on lockout
The lockout is over. I'm not joking. My friends parents are best friends with the Mark Murphy family and he told them it is officially over. Don't really give two shits if you don't believe me. It's over. I bet it's announced in the next 2 days.

I don't doubt it. Following players on Twitter and stuff, you have a bunch that are on their way to Mpls....figured it was coming in the next few days.

I have no idea, I haven't been following it. Just saying what I've been told.

Watching ESPN today they say they hope an agreement is done by Wednesday. So i guess no, that's not what the news has been saying. They say hopefully Wednesday when I know it's already done.

It's not officially done yet though. Just in principle.

From what I understand, the lawyers just need the weekend to go over the agreement with a fine tooth comb.

It's done, it was agreed on last night, hence the inside info.

The way it was laid out on ESPN today was that the players would have to agree to it on Wed or Thur and the owners on Thur. So announcement that there is a deal in principle would have to be today or tomorrow.

I think they have some contentious issues yet to iron out but they are too close not to push through in the next two days and announce it....put it up for votes, etc.

I am wondering if Lem had any new info about when it would be announced. He's saying the deal is done.

Not sure, my friend got a call from his mom on Saturday night while we were having some drinks in the yard. His mom was with the Murphys that night and she said Mark Murphy said the lockout was over but it was hush hush. They're really close to the packers president so I assume it should be coming out here shortly. Not sure if they are posturing for the media or if some small small things need to be signed sealed and delivered.

I do know that what ESPN is reporting is not accurate and has already been agreed on. Whether it's signed or not, I'm not sure.

When they say Wednesday, they are talking about details and the respective votes by the principles involved. Everybody knows it is pretty much over.

Awesome, and I knew it was done on Saturday.

Sounds like they are just dicking around with the lawsuits.

Good point.....it is over. They are far too close and there is too much to lose for both side for their to be a complete meltdown at this point. It is just at that maddening point where you know it is over but dont want to feel secure until you know it is ALL THE WAY done.

I saw something today that said 10 year CBA....that would be huge!

Thats a good point. Unfortunatley all the early positioning and wrangling has a lot of parties that need to be satisfied with this to remove their objections. While slim this is still the area that concerns me.

Lawyers be lawyers. They still are getting their $500.00 per hour (minimum) to hammer out the finer details of the agreeement, and to get the judges to agree to drop the cases.

Don't be concerned, this is coming from a major player in the NFL CBA negotations. Trust me. I have no reason to lie about it.
