Default Nfl Mvp?
About a month ago, I thought it was practically a given that Shaun Alexander would walk away with this award. However, it looks more and more like the award will go to the Colts, and Peyton Manning for the third straight time. Who do you think is most deserving?

1. Peyton Manning
2. Shaun Alexander

This may change on Christmas Eve. Man, I can't wait to be one of the many Seahawk fans causing havoc for Peyton Manning and the Colts. I hope this game doesnt turn into a 2nd string vs 2nd string game. So, I hope the Seahawks do not clinch HFA this weekend. I want to clinch it with a win at home vs the Colts!

Carson Palmer or Alexander.

I don't think either team would be near as good without them. Indy would still be fairly good without Peyton.

Seriously? He runs their entire offense moreso than any QB in the league.

What about Edge?

I think the fact that you have 2 potential MVP candidates on one teams lessens the chances that either could be considered 'most valuable'.

Looking at the stats Peyton and Carson are almost identical, I would give it to Carson. He has weapons but I think Peyton has better weapons. Alexander would also be a good choice, he is tearing it up.

Carson has lost games.

I would think a team that is beating everyone should have the NFL MVP on it somewhere.

Either Peyton or Edge. Edge carried that offense at various times this year when the passing game wasn't getting it done.

Peyton calls the shots and gets it done like no QB does.

I don't have a problem with either of those 2 getting it. If anyone else does this year, with exception of Alexander, I'd have issues with it.

I agree here anybody besides Alexander, Peyton, or Carson wins it I too would have an issue. All three of them are playing pretty damn good this year. My pick would be Palmer though, just my opinion. All three do deserve it though.

I hate to say it, but Peyton's not as good as he was last year.

His defense is better.

So I'd lean towards a guy who has stepped up as opposed to stepping back - which means Alexander or Palmer. And since Alexander is on pace for just shy of 200 total yards, and about 28 TDs....

27 tds, 108+ rating? If you are gonna compare him to his season last year and say he has stepped back, then he will be on teh decline from here on out. Even if he has best QB season each year in the league.

And he calls the plays.

I could make the argument that he's not even the best QB in the league right now - despite calling the plays. He's got a top 3 defense working on his behalf as well.

And Peyton has 27 TDs. Palmer has 28 (ran for one). Alexander has 23 - the next closest RB is Tomlinson at 19 - and it's much tougher for top RBs to accumulate as many TDs as it is for top QBs.

If I had a vote, I'd give it to Alexander.

When do we have to vote by?

If it is today, with the Colts being undefeated AND Peyton putting up numbers, he gets my vote.

I'd give it to Alexander. He's amazing right now. However, legitimate cases can be made for Peyton and Palmer as well.

I'd say Alexander. He's on pace to break the TD record isn't he? Their offense has been #1 practically all year (don't know if it still is) but he's really their only stud skill position player. Palmer and Peyton are surrounded by talented skill players.
