TGN - Thai Global Network is available in 167 countries including the US. I live in Amsterdam, and I watch it on the 13.0E Hotbird-8 satellite. ![]() It's in Standard Definition(SD), so you don't need a Digital DVB-S2/High Definition(HD) tuner. For time differences you can use a PVR tuner(it has harddisk build in for timer recordings) More info about on what satellite you can find TGN is here. I also did a search for Thai language and not encrypted satellite channels. (It seems that Thai Satellite channels are none encrypted, so free to use, did you know that the owner of TGN is Thai army?) For you (Living in US) the Intelsat 805 satellite is interesting, it offers TGN in America(Hotbird 8 is for Europe/MiddleEast) ![]() I don't know if their is a TGN employee here, but is it possible to add a second audio stream at TGN satellite channel: English?(when possible). My Thai language skills are like zero, but I like to see/experience Thai culture at home. It reminds me of a wonderful cultural holiday I'd in 2007(from Bangkok to north and back). If you're planning to buy a DVB-S(2) dish/lnb/tuner(fta for free channels/DVB-S2 for payed/encrypted -HD- channels), then be sure you inform first what satellites you want and can use. Then check what kind of position/transmission/encryption they use, and so get the right tuner. ![]() |
