Apolyton is the 350th largest forum on the web.

Nah, no dying. We're just a little slow between Civ releases. Wait till you see all the new posters Civ5 is going to bring us. http://www.discussworldissues.com/im...ons/icon14.gif

Half our population consists of DLs.

The only one I can think of is Barack Obama.

It appears that the ranking is related to total number of posts ever, which is a completely useless metric for determining to what extent a decade old forum is currently active.

Edit: According to them we had 0 posts last week

Those ratings are rubbish. There are big forums that simply don't appear in that database.

593/2337 by members. Although the Lacrosse forum has -29113 members.

I guess even internet clowns deserve encouragement.

Good luck. Now get back to studying.

Oh, I didn't know that. A good point.

Does anyone know a good site for ranking forums based on daily traffic or number of unique visitors per day?

MaigicyuNinia 04-02-2010 06:54 PM

According to this website apolyton.net is currently getting about 15k unique visitors per month:
http://www.mywebsiteworth.com/site/www.apolyton.net

apolyton.com is getting almost zero:
http://www.mywebsiteworth.com/site/www.apolyton.com

While CFC is getting almost 30k unique visitors per month:
http://www.mywebsiteworth.com/site/www.civfanatics.com

And the panda site is getting around 800 unique visitors per month:
http://www.mywebsiteworth.com/site/www.weplayciv.com

I'm sure all three will get a nice boost out of the release of Civ5 later this year though it's clear weplayciv is lagging far behind the big two as one would expect. On a different note I seem to be the only person actually using the apolyton.com address instead of the .net address.

It seems like we could mess around with things to bring our Google page rank up a bit and that would help us close the gap with CFC.

Go figure.
Didn't realise you were American, Laz. Although maybe the incorrect spelling (it should have an exclamation mark) suggests otherwise.

I'm not always 'a clown'. I hate clowns. I mean what I write except when I'm obviously joking/teasing.

I passed and you're all welcome.

StivRichardOff 04-03-2010 08:16 PM

Looking at the panda sites numbers we almost quadrupled their traffic when we "trolled" them asking about their unfair and illogical rules so really the panda ****ers should get on their knees and beg us to come back.
