Have you ever experienced -46C on your own skin, buddy?
Try -71F. In Chicago, of course. ?

It can be nasty in Chicago, but not nearly as brutal as many other places. I must compliment che on figuring out that, rather than just whining about the weather here, he was free to leave. And did.

Amazing how many people can't seem to work that out.

Hmmm, the lowest temp I can find is -27F, 1985 & 1994. I don't see any measures for windchill.

I thought you were overstating the temp, but I didn't care enough to make an issue of it. It was damned cold. As I recall, it was in the -40s with windchill in '85.

That day in '94 was when we were moving all our stuff down the block and you called the real estate lady a ****. And we lost our jobs with the psycho pizza man because the pipes froze.

If the other real estate person hadn't had been there, she would have hit Thebes, which apparently was what he was going for. We were in a fight wither her because the previous tenants had left a entertainment center behind and we decided we were going to take it with us. The landlady told us when we moved in we could either keep it or throw it out, so we kept it. Then they decided when we were moving out that it looked good to advertise that the apartment came with a EC. We told them to call the cops on us if it was really their property. Like, after having been total dicks to us, we were gonna do something nice for them.

Actually I was peeved b/c after moving all morning I had to deal with their crap. The c-word just slipped out. And considering I had a metal beam for a bedframe in my hand, her attacking me would've been bad for both of us, I think.

It was a lot lower with windchill, for certain.

Why live in a cold place when there are so many more pleasant places to live?
Uh, Fort Lauderdale is way pleasant.

The hell it is. Florida is a hellhole. Way too hot and humid and filled with all kinds of dirty ferreners.

FrostyBoy was *****ing about how run down American cities were, then posted a bunch of pictures comparing Chicago to Singapore. One of his "Chicago" pics, turned out to be London's M5 highway, iirc.
The M5 is nowhere near London. It runs between Birmingham-ish and Devon.

We don't have 'highways' either. Except Steve Highway, was was Irish.
