Default Fun in Britain
I wonder who will be the first to say that honest people have nothing to hide.

I also know that in Britain it is illegal not to tell the police your passwords if they have a search warrant.

I think giving your passwords to the police is too close to testifying against yourself. If they want to find anything, they can do it themselves.

"THE Home Office has quietly adopted a new plan to allow police across Britain routinely to hack into people’s personal computers without a warrant."

So if you have something locked in a safe, you'd say they couldn't search that (even with a warrant) unless they broke into the safe themselves, because you wouldn't have to give them the key/combination?
Exactly. "I've lost me keys, sorry." I also don't have to say that it is booby-trapped, do I?

This is crap. I can understand and agree if a warrant is involved (and a specific item is named in the search warrant) Your safe comparison was a good one.

Writs of Assistance are nothing new to the slaves of George III and his heirs. So why are we surprised?
