What's your company's policy on flight classes? For a flight that long, you should get business class. (My old company's policy was >8 hour flights, you get biz class. That's on the conservative side.) And business class on most airlines has individual video and power outlets.

Mumbai is one of the top 10 "financial flow centers" in the world (whatever that means). Hard to imagine they wouldn't have normal hotel amenities - certainly in the business hotels.

BTW, I'm not behind a corporate firewall. Probably my own settings (showing links instead of images). But thanks.

I've got a few weeks to think about it.

If the city was still named Bombay, I'd go. But Mumbai?

Mumbay

Splendid. We've just learned a good way of winding up Asher the IT-Boy.

And I resent being associated with "IT".

"IT", to me, are network and system administrators. Don't worry, keep at it and I'm sure you'll eventually get there.

I take pride in knowing that Bombay=Mumbai, Burma=Mianmar, Istanbul=Istanbul and things like that. Good knowledge of geography is essential in today's world.

That will take you far. BTW, in India they don't use 911. If you happen to be in trouble, think of the Dalmatians.
