whoops. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/redface.gif I meant GB. Gigabytes of DDR2 SDRAM for the perpetually clueless among us.

Where's the "Both of these systems suck" option?
|
I don't need to host a server, create 3D graphics, spend $$$$$$ for an overhyped machine that will still be obsolete in 3 days, or have the technical know-how to build my own.
|
So what would you get? I'm on a budget here.
|
Should get a Dell. Though their tech support is often Indian, it's really responsive.

Get an xps 630 http://www.dell.com/content/products...=19&l=en&s=dhs

Absolutely, but you're looking at Gateway and HP, both of which blow more... http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif So true. HP computers especially laptops are like landmines that go off when you touch them, except they destroy everything you've been working on rather than your legs. |
I would never suggest buying a PC from any major vendor (or most minor ones, sorry nye), I would always suggest that you buy the parts from 1 or 2 places, and build it your self. Hell, it's nothing more than an incredably large and simple mechano set.

He already said he doesn't want to build it.
Go with the Dell you can afford. |
I have an older computer w/ a better video card. I know the video card is crap but I figure THAT I can buy and install myself.
