The new season started last night on BBC1 and what a season opener. Some shocking interpersonal revelations and a highly interesting storyline which im very eager to see pan out.

Also nice to see some new technology being used, but as you can expect from a British drama its not overly fake and stupid like in other spy related shows.

I saw a trailer for Spooks recently where they had to stop a deadly toxin from being released somewhere with lots of people.

You could tell it was deadly, as when they showed the test-tube filled with toxin, it was a evil shade of bright green [rofl]

I've never seen this show before, but I've recorded the first episode of this new series to see what it's like. Is it worth watching or is it too late to get in to it now?

I do enjoy the show but it's ludicrous how the same 6 people have to do absolutely everything, like the bit when he had to blow his cover by stopping that ambassador with his wife. Could they not possibly have found someone else to do it and avoided the plot twist?

Then you'll get something like a van with a bomb on board driving through London, and who has to stop it .. any one of the thousands of police available? No, one of the main characters has to do it, with an empty gun and a broken nose just to lengthen the odds.

Whilst that might seem hilarious, often very toxic chemicals are deliberately coloured this way to warn people that they're not for pouring on your beans on toast...

Was a great start to the new series but I couldnt wait to have to watch part 2 last night so I watched it straight after part 1 on BBC3. Shame they havent done it in HD this time though [thumbdown]

Yah, its a shame that it wasn't in HD. Sure there are some dubious plot holes, but nothing compared to the other shows ive seen!

Bungle, id say give it a go, its the start of the season, chances are the cast could change. The only issue you might have is that you'll not understand the character backgrounds or relationships...

The one thing I like is that you can never be sure that someone you see in one episode will be there for the next; with most other shows you almost guaranteed to see the main cast till the end of the season, but not always with spooks.

Man, such an awesome episode...Like every episode and series before it. Spooks is such a brilliantly made programme, really keeps your attention every second of each episode.

It's both a really good idea, but rather annoying that they go through cast so fast. But, I guess it keeps the story more entertaining and realistic.


I hope Adam didn't kill Jo, I think she's amazing If I was Adam, I would have just knocked her out, it would have gave him a few more minutes. I really cannot wait for next series!

This is what I really love about spooks. We lost Zaf, but they were so clever about it, managed to make us believe he was still alive till the very end, and the shocking moments with Jo. Zaf, Jo and Ros are all gone now, so we should see some fresh faces in the next series!
