50% of people being opposed to the sending of the troops would not be so bad, at least, this would show a sign of debates of discussion in the society.
****, but 70% of pussies, oops... Quebecker's are against it. If only they were developing a good and challenging arguments. My God, NO, they are emotionally controlling the debates with lies, anti americanism, anti imperialism "propaganda"... (if only taleban was only made of Afghans) Note that the Harper government is doing a bad job trying to explain the mission. |

@Kid
The problem of them is they are irresponsible. 1: They have organized a march friday, they will be protesting in front of the family soldiers, of the soldiers. 2: The poll show what I was afraid of Quebecker's, they are ideologically pacifist... They are not caring for reality, reality is too hard for them. I can understand some reasons to not be in Afhanistan(I have mine); but right now, we are there, it's time to show our support. In 2009, the mission is going to be reevaluated by the government. In 2009, it will be the times of protesting. But right now, we are there, I really think the "only" solutions is to be there and helping the OTAN mission. Wishing that Afghanistan will be able to get rid of the taleban. 3: They are hippies ![]() |

Tacky. 2: The poll show what I was afraid of Quebecker's, they are ideologically pacifist... They are not caring for reality, reality is too hard for them. Historically this is true. I can understand some reasons to not be in Afhanistan(I have mine); but right now, we are there, it's time to show our support. Why would you show support for a military mission you disagree with? If you are talking about the troops - I would support them all the way home. In 2009, the mission is going to be reevaluated by the government. In 2009, it will be the times of protesting. There will be no reevaluation if PM Steve is still in charge. It will be like the last "debate" in parliament - The decision is made to continue regardless of the Commons vote. Bank on it. But right now, we are there, I really think the "only" solutions is to be there and helping the OTAN mission. NATO has failed as an alliance. "I'll help so long as I don't have to fight" is not an alliance. Wishing that Afghanistan will be able to get rid of the taleban. Once we finish killing off all the Afghanis they will be free of "Taliban". They are one and the same. 3: They are hippies ![]() ![]() |

When you start viewing the population at large as being the enemy and thinking that either trying to win their hearts and minds isn't worth the trouble or impossible as you suggest that the whole enterprise becomes a house of cards bound for failiure. I hope the Canadian military has more vision and discipline otherwise they should leave at the first opportunity.

You can't be serious? Do you need links? I usually rely on first hand accounts, but if you have some that don't only pertain to the 10% of the country that comprise the borderlands with Pakistan, post away.
Germans On second thought, you probably don't need our help with the Danes. The Germans are well rested and closer. ![]() |
