Very desperate!
Looking to either buy a real cheap house for cash (foreclosure or something) in the Nashville area or a temporary rental until I find something. Needs to be within driving distance for my wife to work there. Realtors and internet not giving complete list of what's available, realtors wont call us back because it's not worth it for them to help or even give one of their lists.. If someone is in the area and can look at local ads or grocery store bulletins or whatever Please PM me. This needs to happen in the next week!!! I should be boxing my shop not sitting on here every day looking at what little is available. Other options are Knoxville and Memphis < last choice) Need at least 2 bedrooms and at least 2 car garage or barn to set up shop until I either flip it and gain some cash or a temp rental. Not sure of total funding yet due to several variables but in the 12K - 15K area so far. Should get near 20K but stuff is not selling. These are out there and everything we have found ends up being under contract and then resold for much more. Shithole house is fine long as habitable I can set up shop and get my tools unpacked and accessible. This is exactly what happens when you listen to advice and follow the rules I was told to follow, lost all my equity and now in a world of shit. Please bump if this disappears to the next page. |

Having lived in Tune town awhile, try this.
Call RE agents in the smaller towns surrounding Nashville, you'll get a friendlier reception and they'll be more helpful. Staying outside of Nashville should suit you better as well. Been there...done that. Knoxville sucks and Memphis is a slum. I'd stick with the Nashville area. |

it pains me to endorse anything dave ramsey (really pains me), but he is in the nashville area and has a shitload of realtors working for him via his elp program. my sister used it, and had good results. here is the link:

I'm no help, I'm in Ca. just commenting....... Jesus, I cant believe how inexpensive houses are back there ! That's exactly the point of cashing out some silver last week @30.??something. That last agent told me that this year she has sold more cash sales than anytime in her 26 year work history. The same houses in MI are 100+ for shit holes and there are no jobs/no work here. So, I can move down there into a paid off house and just deal with taxes at around 200-300 a year. I'm trying to sign up with that plan if I can find something fast. Fix it up a bit and flip the motha and do it again. Flip 2 places and should have enough capital to settle into a decent place and flip other places for a living with my son. It's the plan at least. |
