I wanna start watching some anime. I want a current series, that i can download every week/month.

Not really into the robots flying around space etc, more into guys/girls with guns and swords (but modern, not sameri old)

Any ideas? Thanks

I've been too busy lately to watch anything, but try going to animesuki and taking a look at the newest and most downloaded series.

Cowboy bebop might be up your ally, I also like samurai champloo. Although I'm sure there are many others that are much more knowledgeable than I, I barely watch anime.

edit: hmmm, I reread your post and you probably wouldn't like either of those sorry.

ghost in the shell, ergo proxy, blood+, and death note are pretty good

Well if your in the US there is Afro Samurai thats going to be starting on Spike TV here soon. Then for others there is death note, not that far into the series. Um.... Hellsing Ultimate is coming out, 1 volume every.... 1/4 a year. Tenjou Tenge is over but a good series. Not sure what else to recomend thats really new. You might also check out trinity blood.

Black Lagoon *just* ended though. But that's two good seasons with 24 eps for you to enjoy.

I haven't watched it yet, i have all the episodes so far though, just not in the whole "sub title" reading mood. It's based on the manga and not vice versa like some other anime. The manga is sweet, defiantly something that catches my attention. There is also movies on it. AFAIK they are making 2 movies (live action). They could be making more, just don't know how far they are going to with the story line. I myself get engrossed with the main character with how methodical he is in regards to keeping his secret and how he goes about that.
