2 1/2 hours since the opening post, and no one has yet said "I'd hit it!" Is this truely Poly, or have I wandered into an alternate universe??

When I was but a few scant summers I ran away from home, got all emotional about it and went home before my parents even knew I had left.

Embarrassing!

I wonder did she run away or get abducted...?

Lu said that at first it was difficult bringing her back to normal life because she resisted showering, wearing clothes or using chopsticks, fending him off and shouting and crying. ****ers

"It is not easy indeed but life is waiting ahead for her" As if it wasn't already, jeez. Since when did life equate to wearing clothes and using chopsticks?

Are you seriously arguing she should have been left in the jungle?

seriously though, I have many unanswered questions. First of all, at 8 years old she should have been walking upright and talking. If evolution has taught us that humans are inclined to walk upright, why is she not doing so? And how could one lose language skills so fast? It's something I found farfetched in the movie: Threads. But perhaps it is true. But you figure she would talk to herself and retain some skills.

And how did she survive? What did she eat?

Yeah, at the age of 8 you have at least a reasonable knowledge of the language - I am surprised it would disappear that fast, and if so, I would expect it to return fairly quickly...
