It's quite normal to give friends presents for Christmas. Over here many uses more money on friends than family according to the news papers.

I bought:

- some cosmetical cremes for my mother. Mostly because they were in a nice package and they were made of pistacchios, and I love them

- "Snow" by Orhan Pamuk, recent turkish Nobel prize winner, for my father. I actually wanted something by Nagib Mahfuz, but could not find it, so it was the second best thing

- haven't bought anything for my sis yet, she's in Britain so I don't have to hurry.

I got
-sweets
-shaving stuff for the 1001 time
-my 10th christmas pijama
-cosmetics, though I have just ended the one I was given 5 years ago
-calendar
