One hotel is the Barcelo Naranjo. It is about one block distant from the basilica. The rooms are modest and clean and there is an on-site restaurant.

I know of a hotel there,but it is basic,here in england we have places called travelodge,well it was a bit like that,receptionist behind a desk,and you signed a form,got your key and went in and out as you pleased,then you just go out and about to eat or to the night clubs,however its o.k to stay for a weekend with a boyfriend,but the name of it i dont know not even the location sorry

I read recently someone had recommended a hotel to stay in in Higuey but can't find it on the site now. Can anyone recommend any? Just for a one or two night stay.
