If you haven't followed various comments over time and checked my profile; I was a soviet paratrooper from 1972-1974 stationed in the far east (to clarify not our headquarters, which was in Ukraine, but my particular unit was considered a reaction force against the Chinese) and GRU communications officer from 1974-1978 involved in various unpleasantness in Africa.
