Woman spends six hours cooking meth inside Walmart before anyone takes notice and calls police

(NaturalNews) When 45-year-old Elizabeth Alisha Greta Halfmoon was finally arrested for trying to set up a methamphetamine lab inside a Tulsa, Okla., Walmart store, she told police that she did not have the money to actually buy the chemicals and mix them on her own property. But according to reports, it took roughly six hours before anyone even took notice that Halfmoon had collected the needed ingredients from products throughout the store, and begun to set up her own meth-cooking lab right on the premises.

FOX 23 News in Tulsa reports that Halfmoon had entered the South Tulsa Walmart store around noon on the day of the bust, and proceeded to collect products containing needed chemicals from store shelves. Halfmoon then apparently found a cozy little nook inside the store where she begin mixing the chemicals in bottles. About six hours later, on-site officers say they finally noticed Halfmoon's suspicious activity while observing security footage, which prompted them to call the police.

"She didn't have the money to make the purchases of the chemicals that were needed so she was taking what was needed in the bottle," said Officer David Shelby, who arrived on the scene, to FOX 23 News. "When firefighters were on the scene she made statements to them that is what she was doing, she was attempting to obtain these chemicals and was in the process of trying to manufacture meth. However, she said she was not very good at it."

Halfmoon had apparently already made it so far in her meth-cooking efforts, though, that the concoction in one of her bottles actually ended up burning right through it, which ended up injuring a responding officer who tried to confiscate it. In the end, Halfmoon and all her chemicals were removed from the store before anyone else was hurt, but many customers were reportedly greatly shaken by the experience.

If it were not for the very serious and potentially-deadly nature of mixing meth chemicals, the situation would almost be humorous. After all, what other store besides Walmart would fail to notice a meth lab being set up right inside its shopping area? On the other hand, at least somebody actually did take notice, albeit way later than they should have, because this observation more than likely prevented a much more disastrous incident from occurring.

Great story! I guess if you want something bad enough, you will find a way. Just think- if she got a job there, she could have set up her own little business.

Maybe we will learn more stories like this as things get worse. I could see a homeless kid setting up a hideout in a store and foraging at night. Security systems in modern places will make that hard.

Hm, she should have gone to the pyrex section not the tupperware section for the mixing vessel.

Forget about what this woman was doing in six. The employees are there for eight hours, or longer.

Make meth? pffft...
