Default Top 15 Movie Soundtracks (best use of music in a film!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cqgW...eature=related

Some interesting ones in there... think I'd agree with some, however, I'd say it's NOT just the catchiest, it's how it's used in the film. i.e. Sunshine on Bluray is incredible for sound and mussic for atmosphere.

Anyone else any thoughts...? Also, at 8:52 to the end here, Dark Knight, didn't realise this sounded this EPIC? Might have to put the Bluray on tonight...

I liked Cliff Martinez's soundtrack for Solaris.

Also, I think Daft Punk made one of the best movie soundtracks ever for Tron: Legacy. The movie is meh and the music alone is rather meh, but when you put the music to the movie, the music becomes rainbow barf. The movie remains meh.

Thank god. Greenwood's horribly dramatic single synth cords almost made me want to kill myself.

Hans Zimmer in The Dark Knight and Batman Begins. I can't think of better music more suitable for the Batman universe.

Pure class, filled with tension.

Don't make me do it. You can't make me kill myself!! I'll give you this, it did most certainly add tension to scenes that had absolutely no tension whatsoever.

There is infinitely more talent in this:

And this:

And most definitely this:

The Dark Knight score is epic. I own both Batman Begins and TDK. Both are phenomenal scores if you like Bass.

I think the only reason Bear McCreary's Battlestar Galactica music isn't in that list is because its for a TV series.

Don't remember Greenwood's score, but any soundtrack that includes Arvo Part and Brahms is going to be tops in my book.

Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, etc. were excluded from the OP's video link as they are already mentioned in every top 15 movie soundtrack list.

It may not be a movie but Crysis 2 has some of the best music out there, definitely check it out even if you didn't enjoy the game.
