Senate To Vote On Legislation That Allows U.S. Military to Detain Americans Without Charge or Trial
http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-new...trial_11252011 The Senate is going to vote on whether Congress will give this president—and every future president — the power to order the military to pick up and imprison without charge or trial civilians anywhere in the world. Even Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) raised his concerns about the NDAA detention provisions during last night’s Republican debate. The power is so broad that even U.S. citizens could be swept up by the military and the military could be used far from any battlefield, even within the United States itself. |

Simple enough. If your rights have been violated by the present United States government you must let the President know. If he isn't informed then he has no duty to take a hand in the situation.
If he knows and ignores you then he has violated a Law established by congress that he has a sworn duty to execute. By the way, the foreign states being discussed in this act (15 Stat 249) are the several States that form the united States. http://home.earthlink.net/~walterk1/...iationAct.html CHAP. CCXLIX – An Act concerning the Rights of American Citizens in foreign States. Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That whenever it shall be made known to the President that any citizen of the United States has been unjustly deprived of his liberty by or under the authority of any foreign government, it shall be the duty of the President forthwith to demand of that government the reasons for such imprisonment, and if it appears to be wrongful and in violation of the rights of American citizenship, the Presi-dent shall forthwith demand the release of such citizen, and if the release so demanded is unreasonably delayed or refused, it shall be the duty of the President to use such means, not amounting to acts of war, as he may think necessary and proper to obtain or effectuate such release, and all the facts and proceedings relative thereto shall as soon as practicable be communicated by the President to Congress. Approved, July 27, 1868. |

For perspective it helps to consider that the above act established that the OLD U.S. government recognized the right of expatriation before the NEW U.S. government established by the 14th amendment came into being the following day.
The FOREIGN government discussed includes (in addition to numerous other foreign governments) the government that was formed on July 28th, 1868. In other words, the duties of the current U.S. president under the 14th amendment government are to include protecting the interests of old U.S. government "Americans" against the new short form communist government congress formed. I expect this offer of presidential protection from 15 Stat 249 does not extend to 14th amendment U.S. citizens. Just sayin'. |
